Hmmm. So the good: The art is amazing as always, great spicy scenes, characters are consistent.
The not-so-good: This is maybe my favorite BL series, and I'm disappointed that the end of the last volume and the whole of this volume seem to be spinning its wheels with a love rival plot I find frustrating.
酷くしないで is at its best when it focuses on the growth of the main couple, and when Maya and Nemu's relationship evolves as much internally as it does externally. Unfortunately, at the moment they're facing an outside rival who Maya doesn't appear to have any deeper interest in but is framed as a very serious threat. I'm not sure how this can be resolved in a satisfactory manner, because Maya has become such a perfect Ikemen that him becoming tempted seems out of character. For the second volume in a row, nothing is really resolved in the final chapter but the cliffhanger isn't strong.
But if Luka not a real threat, why are we spending so much time on him? I hope the artist surprises me and this turns out to be really tender and reveals more about their relationship because this seems to be going on too long.
Still an amazing series, and I of course will keep reading. But this isn't one of the stronger entries.
