Faltig, sehr fester Stoff und ein Fleck auf der Gardine

Wenn ich ehrlich bin, bin ich ein bisschen enttäuscht von diesen Gardinen. Ich bin von AmazonBasics bessere Ware gewohnt.

Die Gardinen kommen stark gepresst in Folie eingeschweißt. Wenn so etwas nicht hundert prozentig ordentlich eingepackt wird, entstehen starke Falten, die man schwer wieder weg bekommt.

Wie man auf den Fotos sieht, waren meine Gardinen sehr faltig. Ich hatte sie so aufgehängt aber das sah fürchterlich aus, so dass ich sie erst einmal wieder abnehmen musste und bügeln. Da diese Gardinen nur auf Stufe 1 gebügelt werden können, war es mehr wie schwer, die teilweise sehr starken Falten wegzubekommen. Ich habe die Temperatur vom Bügeleisen dann auf Stufe 2 gestellt. Das ging dann etwas besser und hat ihnen nicht geschadet. Ich war aber insgesamt 1,5 Stunden dabei, da ich teilweise mehrmals über die tieferen Falten rüber musste.

Ganz habe ich sie nicht weg bekommen, wie man auf dem Foto sieht. Aber so geht es einigermaßen. Außerdem hat eine der Gardinen einen dunklen Fleck, den ich nicht weg bekomme. Man sieht ihn nicht, wenn die Gardine hängt, aber ärgerlich ist es trotzdem.

Der Stoff ist sehr fest und fühlt sich an wie Zeltstoff. Dadurch hängt sie nicht so schön. Die beiden Bänder, mit denen man die Gardinen zusammen rafft, sind meiner Ansicht nach zu kurz. Ich muss die Gardine hinten knicken, um es drumherum zu bekommen.

Blickdicht und gut vernäht sind sie aber. Etwas Licht dringt noch oben, unten und an den Seiten durch, aber das lässt sich nicht vermeiden. Auch Wärme oder Kälte dringt nicht durch die Gardinen. Die Farbe hellblau finde ich auch sehr schön. Wegen den Falten, dem Fleck und dem sehr festen Stoff ziehe ich aber zwei Sterne ab. So wie auf den Artikelbildern kommen die aber definitiv nicht an. So sehen sie nicht einmal aus, wenn man sie gebügelt hat. Schade. Bisher wurde ich noch nie von AmazonBasics Ware enttäuscht, aber hier schon… 3 Sterne, weil ich sie ok finde.

These are decent enough curtains, neither stunning or awful, but only buy them (especially if you're like me and needed huge ones) if you like an ironing challenge! Tbf I'd have done better just washing them and then ironing, because the creases were proper established! I tried ironing on the reverse as I would normally but iron caught slightly, so swapped to the front and that wasn't hugely diffident... They needed a fireball level setting on the iron but impossible because the material couldn't handle it so an hour or so later, they're up, still a bit crispy creased here and there but I'd lost the will to live after the hour, so there they are...

When I ordered this did not show with the eyelets on the image so that was very bad advertisement. Lower stars due to that as I did not get what I ordered technically. Not sure if seller has corrected yet.

However prefer the eyelet version because I saw a video on how to make the curtains have some body. See images. Used empty toilets rolls. Happy with this now.

They're a lovely soft material, the colour is accurate and bright white. I've yet to see whether they block out the light/ heat, but will leave a follow-up review to advise whether they do, as this was the main reason for purchase.

Sadly, they've arrived stained. It looks like makeup or something. I'm hoping it washes out when I can be bothered to wash them (I only noticed after I'd finished ironing the whole lot!😩)

They are quite thick which is good doesn't let much light in although still comes through what I really dislike is the back material is plasticky and yellow but not white so feom outside doesn't look so great seems like you have old dated curtains from inside looks good

The curtains looked and felt fine, however I ordered the wrong size so I returned them. Returning them was very straightforward and I received a refund promptly. I haven't reordered because with Christmas and working full time it slipped to the very bottom of my to do list.

To be honest they really aren’t what I thought they would be. They look more grey than pure white and they are very hard. I have to put them behind a radiator daily and they are terrible for creasing. They do keep it dark and slightly warmer tho.

These curtains state that you CAN iron them. DO NOT do that!
I ironed mine and the backing black out material has melted. So I now have melted spots that let the light in.
I ironed them on the lowest setting, as I was a bit dubious.. and yet they still melted.
