The title story is a sequel to "The Flying Smurf", where Flying Smurf now gets an airplane to fly around in, although during his test flight he destroys Smurfette's flowers and her laundry. Smurfette goes out into the forest to pick flowers and gets captured by Gargamel. Flying Smurf uses the airplane to rescue Smurfette, which inspires Gargamel to come after him with his own flying craft. Flying Smurf dumps a bunch of Jokey's exploding "surprises" on Gargamel, sending him falling to the ground. Smurfette gives Flying Smurf a reward for rescuing her...which turns out to be work!
The following story, "The Masked Smurf", is an adaptation of "The Masked Pie Smurfer" from the cartoon show. A masked Smurf is going around hitting Smurfs in the face with pies, and the Smurfs look for who is the likely culprit behind the mask.
"The Firesmurfs" is about the Smurfs forming a firefighting brigade with the invention of the first fire engine. The brigade gets a bit too zealous for fighting fires when they end up dousing anything in the village that sparks a flame, but when Gargamel tries to set the forest on fire to drive out the Smurfs, Papa Smurf turns to other means to get the fire out.
"Gluttony And The Smurfs" is about Gargamel turning the Smurfs' love of food into a trap, as he sets out a cake with a petrifying formula that turns the Smurfs into stone.
"The Smurf And His Dragon" is about Timid Smurf wanting a pet for himself, and getting more than he bargained for with a baby dragon who becomes more of a problem for his fellow Smurfs.
"Jokey Smurf's Pranks" is about Jokey turning to using other kinds of jokes besides his usual exploding "surprises" to fool his Smurfs, and eventually using them against Gargamel when he comes into the village.
As usual, Papercutz still ruins the translations with Grouchy saying "me, I don't like" instead of "I hate" which the English audience is more used to from the character. But aside from that, it's worth a purchase.
