This is a must read for any data professional, especially CDOs, data managers, architects and engineers.

At last, we have a disruptive and sound approach that makes sense in today's fast-paced world, and that may fulfil the needs of a truly agile and data driven organization. Domain Ownership, Data as a Product, Self-Service Data Platform, and Federated Computational Governance principles are the way forward for complex, data driven companies that are willing to take the lead and innovate.

Anyone who works with data for a living should pickup this book and familiarise themselves with the concepts. Don't let the copy cats using the term Data Mesh distract you from the real story of how to deliver Data Value at scale.

The more i read through it. This is my second time, and not the last one, the more i discover insights that are in our daily data professional lives but we don't stop to reflect on. For example why data is the new oil, when we give water-like names to all data related artifacts? Just brilliant!!!

This book is simply a masterpiece. Zharmak has managed to author the rare book with actionable, provocative, and meaningful content for data management and governance. Do I agree 💯 with everything in here? Not necessarily. However, she makes her reasoning clear for an extremely strong case. If I could offer a criticism, I would ask to her to use language that is plain to the average data professional. However, it is digestible, especially if you take 3 or 4 chapters at a time. I can’t offer enough praise! You need this book. I’ll be watching for updates as well.
