An excellent book. 👏
Roshani has always been my fav authour, and the Aru Shah series has always been a great read for me.
I am a kid myself (12) and I would definitely recommend ths book to all, it is a book for all ages :)
After I read the first book of this series (Aru Shah and the End of Time) I simply HAD to get the other books... and Im very glad I did.
Its a book of beauty, that combines Hindu mythology with the mordern world... And tells those old and super tales in a fun way...
And does not mean that Roshani just rewrites the tales... nope, not at all. Its a completely new and cool adventure with Aru.
If you are a Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus/Trials of Apollo/Magnus Chase/Kane Chronicles fan, then I bet sure you would love this book too.
NOTE : UF YOU'RE A NEW PERSON TO THIS SERIES, I WOULD HIGHLY REQUEST YOU TO READ THE BOOKS IN THE PROPER ORDER, THAT IS START THIS SERIES FROM THE FIRST BOOK.
Thanks! Hope my review helped you :D

Best-selling author Rick Riordan Presents the penultimate book in the Pandava series by New York Times best-selling author Roshani Chokshi, now in paperback.
*"Chokshi spins a fantastical narrative that seamlessly intertwines Hindu cosmology and folklore, feminism, and witty dialogue for an uproarious novel for young readers."--Kirkus (starred review of Aru Shah and the End of Time)
Aru Shah and her sisters--including one who also claims to be the Sleeper's daughter--must find their mentors Hanuman and Urvashi in Lanka, the city of gold, before war breaks out between the devas and asuras.
Aru has just made a wish on the tree of wishes, but she can't remember what it was. She's pretty sure she didn't wish for a new sister, one who looks strangely familiar and claims to be the Sleeper's daughter, like her.
Aru also isn't sure she still wants to fight on behalf of the devas in the war against the Sleeper and his demon army. The gods have been too devious up to now. Case in point: Kubera, ruler of the city of gold, promises to give the Pandavas two powerful weapons, but only if they win his trials. If they lose, they won't stand a chance against the Sleeper's troops, which will soon march on Lanka to take over the Otherworld.
Aru's biggest question, though, is why every adult she has loved and trusted so far has failed her. Will she come to peace with what they've done before she has to wage the battle of her life?
Filled with wondrous magic, unforgettable creatures, manipulative gods, and laugh-out-loud dialogue, this fourth book in the Pandava series, a fantasy adventure loosely based on Hindu stories, will leave readers wishing they could read the finale right now.
Endorsed by Rick Riordan, author of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, soon to be a series on Disney+.
Don't miss the other Pandava adventures:

PRAISE FOR ARU SHAH AND THE TREE OF WISHES
*"Chokshi’s novel is pitch perfect: The plot is action-packed, the dialogue witty, and the characters (almost all of whom are either Indian or part-Indian) are compelling, diverse, and complex. Touching, riotously funny, and absolutely stunning."―Kirkus (starred review)

3 1/2 stars
The fourth installment of the Pandava series had some pacing problems. It came out swinging, but then the middle third was a struggle. The action in the second half picked up and the climactic battle was impressive... But then there was more wrap up than one would expect.
Originally, this series was meant to be a quartet. And while I'm happy we'll get a 5th book (and I do feel like it needs a 5th story to really give it a finale), it felt like the 4th story had some unnecessary stretching done to it when it was determined that it wouldn't be the last book.
Overall though, I love this story. It's original and captivating. Aru and her friends are fun and witty and always work well together throughout their adventures. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this all plays out in Book 5!

I like this series, it’s entertaining and I am totally rooting for the characters, but this book stood out above the others that came before it. The story line has become really compelling and I cannot wait to read the last book in the series and find out what happens!
